My Story

I didn’t go to church much as a child, I would go with friends here and there. Sometimes the family would all go, but mostly that was only on holidays. I wasn’t “raised up in church” like a lot of my friends say they were. It didn’t bother me though, because something doesn’t bother you unless you know different and that was all I knew. I moved to in with my dad’s parents in Clinton during March of 2005 after losing my mom in a car accident, I’m not going to get in to all that. Shortly after I moved in one of my friends whom I had known for years through my grandparents got me involved in FBC Clinton. I went to almost everything she did like GA’s, children’s choir, Sunday school, services on Sunday mornings, vacation bible school, etc. and soon learned a lot of the “church answers”. I move up into the youth group in 7th grade but she is a year younger than me so she didn’t get to move up. I didn’t like that because she was my best friend, I wouldn’t go to church if she wasn’t there so it wasn’t exactly fun to move up without her. I had to expand out and talk to other people besides her and her friend group. I formed relationships with a lot of great people and really enjoyed being with the “older kids” I learned so much from them and continue to learn from some of them to this day.

I wasn’t as involved in the youth group then as I should have been. I went to Sunday school, and worship on wed nights, then later in the year started going to breakfast club on Thursday mornings. I wasn’t growing in my relationship with Christ though; I was just going to hang out. I eventually realized that that was wrong and actually started caring about being at church, not being with friends. I got more involved and started growing towards Christ, I was baptized on October 12 2008, but it wasn’t for the right reason. I had felt pressured into it because of some friends and their testimonies.

However, It wasn’t until Saturday night at dnow 2010 that God really started working in my life, we were in our last “worship” which is always a really deep message, and we have an opportunity to go talk to someone if God had been dealing with us. After most people come back from talking to someone about what God is doing, we go up to small group and talk. When small group was over, the Tom Edwards Band, who led us in worship all weekend, did a concert for us.I wasn’t really in the mood for a concert though, I knew that something was going on and I needed to talk to someone, it didn’t matter who. I couldn’t find my small group leader among the 200+ people in the fellowship hall, but I did find Ryen Stevens who was the small group leader for the senior girls. We go to her small group room and talked, she asked me about my walk with Christ, and I opened up to her about it which was hard because I didn’t know where I really “stood”. She was a great listener and didn’t push anything on me; we prayed and went down to the concert. When I got back downstairs, I talked to Beth Ann about everything going on and she gave me a lot of good advice, like she always does.

After the concert we went back to the host homes. I thought a lot about my conversation with Ryen and chose to recommit my life to Christ. Then I talked to my small group leader about it and she was excited and told me to walk down and let the church know the next morning. When we finished talking, I ran out of the room and down stairs to call Beth Ann because I wanted to tell her and Ryen. She was in Ryen’s group, so it worked out really good because I didn’t have Ryen’s number. When I called I asked to talk to Ryen first, which really confused both of them. I told Ryen, then talked back to Beth Ann and told her. They were both really supportive and excited.

Then the next morning when get to the church I sit with my small group leader and when the invitation is given she walks with me down front and we tell the church about my decision to rededicate my life. I had my fair share of ups and downs in my Christian walk after that, but nothing major really happened until God had started tugging on my heart during bible drill camp this summer, I didn’t really know what do to about it. I kept fighting telling anyone and just was trying to enjoy my first camp experience. It worked for a while; I kept a fake smile and pretended like nothing was going on.

I lost my fight of covering everything up on July 2, 2010 at during the morning worship service. We were talking about salvation and all when I decided that I needed to talk to someone about everything going on.I was sitting with my group and didn’t want to make a big deal about it, so I got up and went to the back and asked Lorie Jenkins if I could talk to her alone…. She agreed so we went out and talked for a while, I told her everything that was going on and asked some questions about being a Christian then we prayed and some people might say I was saved right then because I asked God to come into my life, but I don’t think I was and if you keep reading you will find out why. Anyway, back to what I was saying, when we were praying I asked God to come into my heart because I felt like that was what I needed to do at the time. Then we went back to find my group, they knew something had happened but they didn’t know what and I wasn’t going to say anything because I didn’t really want to make it a “big deal”. Well we went to bible study and Lorie ended up telling my cabin leader, Sarah Beth but I didn’t know she had, but I’m so glad she did or I wouldn’t have formed the relationship with Sarah Beth that I ended up forming later that night. The day continued like normal and I eventually told the girls in my group and some of the other people there like Camille Garret. Lindsey Bishop and a few other people. They were all so so so excited for me. It was getting late and I still had not said anything to Sarah Beth, well we headed back up to our cabins from something and I asked her if I could talk to her, so when we got up to the cabins me and her went and talked for a little while. She said Lorie had already told her in bible study, it kind of upset me that Lorie had said something but I didn’t really get mad about it because I knew she was only doing it because she was so happy for me. Well I continued talking to Sarah Beth and one thing she said that really spoke to me was “you are never the same with God; you can either grow further apart or closer to him”. At the time I didn’t think that much of it but it soon came back as “a slap in the face” when I was in cabin 15 at Garaywa with Hannah and Tasha as my cabin leaders the following week.

Monday wasn’t nothing really big, we met our cabin leaders and everyone in our cabin, turned in all electronics, got settled in the cabin, then went to all of the activities we had to do that day, it was busy but fun nonetheless.

Tuesday was a lot busier; we Got up around 6ish in the morning and didn’t go to bed till sometime around 11 that night. That morning was alright besides waking up at like 6. Not much really happened until that night. We were in worship singing a lot of songs when my story really picks back up from bible drill camp, the song that really got me thinking was “at the cross” by pocket full of rocks. If you don’t know that song, go listen to it NOW! “At the cross, at the cross. Where there's room for me. At the cross, at the cross. I am finally free. At the cross, at the cross. Burdens thrown away. At the cross” I felt the “slap in the face” I was talking about earlier, I realized that I hadn’t ever really taken the time to really think about what it meant to be a Christian on my own, yes I had heard what other people said about being a Christian and all but I had never just thought about it on my own and when I did, I realized that I was still holding on to some of the things that I needed to let go and let God take complete control. I had claimed to have accepted him as my savior at bible drill camp, but to accept him as savior also means giving him your life and letting HIM HAVE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE and I had not done that, I also realized a lot more but I’m not going to get into all that. Well anyway I get into this stubborn, upset, really confused mood and don’t really want to be in worship anymore because it’s kind of hard to worship when your hearts not there and mine certainly was not there. I stay in there anyway because I can’t just get up and leave like I did at bible drill camp for multiple reasons. Well while as I am sitting there wishing I could be anywhere else, my heart starts doing flip flops and I’m just ready to leave and go to the cabin. then all of a suddenly I just feel God scream into my ear that I needed to talk to one of my cabin leaders about what was going on because I’m too weak to handle it alone, well I didn’t want to… I wanted to go to bed and forget about it, that didn’t happen. I was in the bath house talking to a girl from cabin 16 waiting to brush my teeth and get ready for bed. Well as we are talking she encourages me to go talk to my cabin leaders because “that’s what they are there for” But me being stubborn was determined not to listen so I just kind of shrugged it off and said okay then left and headed back to my cabin. Well I go back to the cabin and was just thinking about all that I had experienced lately and what I needed to do about it all when Rebecca (a friend in my cabin who knows me really well) could tell I was bothered by something and she asked what was wrong and I said nothing because I didn’t want to talk. So she leaves me alone, I didn’t tell her why but I told her that I felt like I needed to talk to a cabin leader about something, she kept telling me to just tell one of them I needed to talk to them and they would go talk. Well I eventually listened to her and I’m so glad I did. I asked Tasha if we could go talk outside and she agreed. We went and sat on a wet picnic table right outside the cabin. I was able to open up to her more than I had ever been able to do before. I knew that God had directed me to her and that I needed to tell her everything, she was able to relate to some of the stuff I talked to her about and even told me stuff that had happened to her, it surprised me in a way because cabin leaders don’t just tell their campers about their past. She did and it was really neat, I learned through her telling me all she did that I was not alone, other people go through some of the same things I do, and even worse situations sometimes. Well we continued talking and she gave me the choice of how I wanted to pray, either silently or she could lead, or I could lead. I chose for us to both pray silently, while doing so I recognized that I needed to give my life over and recognized Jesus as my Lord as savior, not because of her but with her guidance. He invested so much time into my life that night and really showed me who Christ was and that I really needed him to take over my life completely. After we finished talking I asked her if she knew where Jessica (the assistant director) was, she saw her on the other side of the “cabin area” so she waved and got her attention. Then went back into the cabin and got this paper that I had to fill out, like everyone does that makes “decisions” at camp. Well while I was finishing the paper Tasha had me filling out, Jessica came to see what Tasha wanted and Tasha told her I wanted to talk to her. So after I got done filling out that thing I talked to Jessica, and Tasha went inside. While I was out talking to Jessica, Tasha told Hannah about my decision, I’ll get back to that in a minute. Jessica was really supportive and encouraging, she encouraged me to tell the other staff members, campers, etc. about my decision and that when I got home to be bold and tell my family, friends, church etc. about my experience at camp. I love Jessica and Tasha so much! I could tell that they really loved on all the campers like there was no tomorrow and wanted to impact them for Christ! I had to go in because it was getting late, and I needed to get ready for bed before the unit leaders came around to say goodnight to all their cabins. Well , I go back inside the cabin and Hannah, calls me over to her bed to tell me that she was so excited for my decision, that I didn’t even know she knew about yet. As the cabin leaders made their rounds and Anna, unit 3 (my unit)‘s leader came by our cabin, and had Laura, (unit 1’s leader) with her. They talked to our cabin leaders for a minute and were about to leave. Well I walked out on the porch of our cabin as they were leaving and told them about my decision and everything that had happened. They were so supportive and loving towards me. Well Anna walked with me down to cabin 20 (the C.I.T. cabin) because I really wanted to tell Carlie, a friend of mine who was a C.I.T but she wasn’t in there, she was still with her cabin. *side note: as a cit you stay in cabin 20, but you are assigned a cabin and are basically a “mini cabin leader“ for a week.* But Carlie had not come back from her cabin yet, so we just walked back to my cabin. When I got back from walking down with Anna down to cabin 20 I didn’t say anything to any of the other girls in my cabin about what all had happened that week, I just got my stuff all put up and got in the bed. It was like getting really late and at Garaywa you’re up early. I was still thinking a lot about the life changing choice I had made and was just like really excited, I wanted to run up on a mountain top and scream to the world and let them know, but you can’t really do that at camp. I eventually go to bed along with the rest of my cabin.

The next morning (Wednesday) we were in the dining hall for breakfast when I told almost the entire staff about my decision the night before. I’m not even kidding you; I don’t think I even sat down because I was up talking to someone the entire time. I told Carlie, Marilee, Erin, Christy, Sabrina, Catherine, Julia, Lauren (the cabin leader, NOT unit leader) for sure and probably others but I can’t remember exactly who all I told at breakfast, but I do know that they were all so excited and proud after hearing my story. They loved on me and made me really feel wanted more than I had EVER felt before! Then we went back to our cabins for bible study and I was able to fully pay attention instead of just sitting there and catching a tiny piece, which felt so amazing Later we went to our camper’s choice, which was crafts for me and I was able to tell all my cabin 16 friends in crafts with me and the staff that was down there “instructing” us. They were such a fun group to get to spend time with; we never had a dull moment down in the crafts pavilion. After camper’s choice we : ate lunch, did our daily devotions, chilled in the cabin for a little while, went swimming, stopped by the trading post, went to missions Then we stopped back by the cabin and got ready for supper, then went to special event and worship. Then back to the cabin for the night. The special event that night was “silent” all the acteens gathered in the big room and split from there. There were stations set up around in the big room and some in the smaller room’s right outside the big room. You didn’t talk during the whole thing and you did it completely by yourself. Some of the stations were: light a candle for the lost (self-explanatory), the graffiti wall (you wrote/drew something god was teaching you on a black paper with chalk), Silent(you sat and just listened to god), at the cross (you prayed and laid everything down at the cross), Forgiveness (you wrote sins you wanted to be forgiven on a piece of paper, then crumpled it up and tossed it in the trash, then knew that god had forgiven those sins and you were not to worry about them anymore) etc.. Lots of emotions were flying around that night more than I had ever witnessed before. Lots of people were crying and yes, God hit me on the head again during this time. Going to the “silent” station and lighting the candle for the lost really woke me up. I then understood that it wasn’t as easy everywhere to be a Christian as it is here. We have our hardships and all that, but we do not have to worry about being thrown in jail or possibly killed. Just because we are Christian At least I don’t know anyone that does. We take so much for granted that we shouldn’t! During worship that night I was sitting at the end of my cabin and by cabin 16, well the girl that was sitting beside me in cabin 16 was really upset about something and I didn’t really know what to do, so I just rubbed her back and tried to just love on her the best I knew how. Then at the end of worship she said something to me that I don’t think I will ever forget. She said thank you for just being there and loving on her! That meant a lot to me, because I didn’t even realize that it meant anything to her that I was trying to love and comfort her but it did. Again it was another smack in the face from God trying to tell me that it’s the small things in life that mean the most. After worship we went back to our cabins and had “share time” which is a time set aside for campers to be able to talk to their cabin leaders about anything. Well one off our girls was outside talking to Tasha and we were all in our cabin talking about “silent” and worship that night and like people shared their testimonies and basically whatever they wanted to in front of the whole cabin. Then we had kind of stopped talking. So, I asked Hannah to go outside because I had not got to tell her my testimony, she only knew a little about the night before when I talked to Tasha and I wanted to tell her all of it but didn’t want to tell the whole cabin just because, so we went out and I told her everything that had happened and like just pored my heart out to her. She was a really good listener and gave me lots of really good advice! I had been thinking about how things were going to be when I got home and like how I was going to tell my family, friends, church family, etc. and was starting to get upset because I knew that some of the people I wanted to tell were not going to support me and it could cause lots of conflict. After talking to Hannah for a little while and letting her know what was going on in my life, She told me about when she went home one weekend earlier that summer after being at camp and was with family when one of her cousins noticed that she had changed he asked her about it and she got to share with him about the amazing things God had done in her life at camp. We finished talking and I saw Anna sitting out on a stump thingy towards the middle of all the cabins. I went out there and grabbed her because I had a million thoughts soaring through my brain after talking to Hannah and felt God pushing me to go talk to her about it. We talked for a while about lots of different things and she gave me lots of advice. But what meant the most to me was when she was praying over me. She didn’t just pray for me, but she also prayed for my family, church family, and friends. She prayed for God to give me the strength and courage to tell them about my experience at camp and that when I got ready to, that he would open their hearts would be open to what I had to say, that meant more to me then I can express through words. God defiantly answered her prayer in some amazing ways that I’ll get to later. Then I went back to my cabin and just chilled with the rest of our cabin till our cabin went to bed.

The next day (Thursday) we spent almost all day at ropes. The morning was the same but that afternoon we were at ropes from 1-5ish. Catherine and Jenn were at low ropes with the ones of us that did not want to go to high ropes. We were out there doing a few things when I started feeling sick, so I went and laid at the picnic table while everyone else did the other little event things. Well we all had to go to the “African hut” which is our little pavilion thing out by the ropes course. I walk over with everyone else and played the games as best as I could not feeling good,. I didn’t want to tell Jenn or Catherine and have to go to the nurse. They made all of us play the games, they weren’t going to let you just sit and watch. Well ,Catherine kept looking at me and could tell something was wrong because of the look on my face, she asked multiple times if I was okay and I said yea with a fake smile because I didn’t want to go to the nurse which is what I figured she would make me do if she found out. I eventually get to where I can’t play anymore so I call Catherine over to where I was and told her that I didn’t feel good, she let me sit down and told me that if it got worse we would go to the nurses’ station. Well they keep playing in the African hut for a little while, then we go back to low ropes and I just got to sit and watch which was miserable, I wanted to get up and play so bad. After most of the high ropes people get done we are able to go in the big room and hang out which was nice because it got me out of the heat and I was able to connect with Laura who was in there for some reason, I had met her earlier that week but we had not really got to know each other yet. She was such a sweet girl; we talked about almost anything we could think of. She gave me really good advice about several things going on in my life that I hadn’t gotten the chance or really thought to tell anyone else. Then we were able to finally go to supper, which is when I started feeling less sick because I actually ate more than a few bites of food.. I’m such a picky eater and at camp u don’t get much of a choice so I wasn’t eating like normal, I would eat a little so I wasn’t starving myself but I wouldn’t eat very much and my body was use to me eating more so It eventually started making me feel sick. After super we went to our cabins to get ready for our special event which was MEGA RELAY for that night. I didn’t do much because I was still not back to normal, I felt better but not enough to run around much. Well our cabin was in a spirit tribe with cabin 18. I thought we did really well and wish I would have felt better and done more. After special events we always go to worship, that night we were singing can’t get away by Rush of fools like we had every other night. God decided he wanted to use this song as a “door” to hit me with that night. The chorus goes like this “And I, can't get away, can't get away. Can't get away, can't get away. I can't get away, can't get away...I keep running into You ” that was so true, for the longest I had been trying to run away from god but the more I did, the more I ran into him. There was no way out, I felt like I was screaming similar words when I recognized him as my Lord and Savior earlier that week but until now had not really listened to words of this song even though we had sang it every night before that. Then when worship ends, we go back to our cabins and get ready for bed. I was in the bath house waiting for it to clear out a little so I could brush my teeth and go back to the cabin when Kayla, a friend of mine that basically became my sister that week needed shaving cream so I went to get mine and let her stay in line so she wouldn’t lose her spot. Well when I come back one of the cabin leaders, Christy asked me if everything was okay, I said yes but it really wasn’t. I was so confused; I had a million things going through my head and didn’t really know what to think. Well she just kept going, cabin leaders don’t have all the time in the world to stand around and wait on you to talk to them,. If you need them they are there for you but you have to speak up or they can’t really do much. Her asking that simple question meant a lot to me. I wasn’t in her cabin and had not really gotten to know her, so I wasn’t sure why she asked about me. I really appreciated it, she could have just passed me and not said anything but she didn’t, she was concerned and wanted to be sure I was alright. Well, Kayla is done with my shaving cream so I head back to my cabin and waited for everyone to come back then we went to bed. I wanted to roll up in a ball and just scream out to Jesus, I had a million things going through my head trying to sort everything that had happened at camp out and how I was going to tell people about it. Instead I just laid there and thought about everything that had happened that week until I finally fell asleep.

The next morning (Friday) was a sad day. We got up and went to have breakfast, and the staff sang a camp song that goes something like “na na na na na na, hey hey hey, good bye” I almost started crying during this, I did not want to go home. Then we went back to our cabin and packed up all our stuff, cleaned the cabin, etc. After all our stuff was on the porch we were able to go take pictures and hang out until time to go to the closing ceremony, after all of that we headed back to our cabins to get our stuff and leave. I was not really in the best of moods, besides the fact that I was going on little sleep, I was leaving one of the greatest places ever. Well we went to the closing ceremony and that was fun. We sang lots of fun songs and then watched different camper choice groups do their closing act, etc. After that ended we had to go back to our cabin and wait on whoever was coming to get us to come sign us out from our cabin leaders.

After camp nothing major really happened until See You at the Pole on September 22, 2010. We prayed, sang songs, got into small groups. Etc. at 7:30 a.m. around the flag pole of our school, then went to class like normal. After school all the local churches gathered together for an “after rally” well we were singing a song called “Glory to God” forever by Fee when God decided to tug at me again. I was sitting with a friend of mine and she starts crying, well im upset and confused about things going on in my life but I was trying to cover them up, so I go get our youth intern Taylor and tell her about my friend crying and she tells me to go sit by her, which I told her no because when im upset I don’t want to be around someone else that is upset because I know I can’t comfort them being upset so she goes and sits by my friend and I move down a few seats. Worship continued and I pretended that I was fine, but I knew in my heart I wasn’t. Well after worship we load the church bus and head back to the church. When we get back I ask Taylor if we could go somewhere alone and talk, she agreed so we go upstairs and talk about my walk with God (before, during and after camp) and a lot of other stuff. Then I had to go because it was later then we normally get out of church and I had a lot of homework, well I continue thinking about everything and talk to Taylor via text for a little while, I asked her a lot of questions and she answered them. I eventually felt God trying to talk to me and I knew I had to listen, so I stopped texting her for a little while and just had a one on one with God and during that he made me realize that I had never formed my own faith, I had always based what I believed off of other people. Well I prayed and decided that I needed to talk to Taylor about it, her response was that I needed to decide what I believe and stick to it. Then she encouraged me to talk to my youth minister, which I eventually ended up doing. I asked him if he would find someone to disciple me, he said yes and after putting a lot of thought and prayer into it asked Beth Ann if she would and she agreed, so we started this bible study book that went through the "stages" of being a Christian. I learned so much through doing that book with her, I still continued to have questions and doubts. However, i thought I was going down the right path with Christ.

Disciple Now was another amazing experience that shook my world upside down. Sammy Nuckolls was our speaker, and Hello August was our worship band. Friday night was one of the most incredible Fridays ever, among all the things that happened we managed to start our “AMAZING RACE” with a bang.

During worship Sammy talked about how we should follow God and used Jonah and the whale, as his “bible example” and gave us a lot to really think about. He then had everyone bow their heads and examine where they stood with Christ. The small group leaders and other adults were standing at the back, and we had the opportunity to go get any of them if we needed to talk. I sat in my seat for a while being stubborn, even though I knew that I needed to talk. I finally decide to get up and go talk to someone. A lot of the leaders had already gone out with someone else, but Michelle was standing back there and I knew if I waited for my leader or someone else to come back I would not end up dealing with what God was doing in me. I grab Michelle and we go upstairs to talk, I gave her my “testimony in a nutshell”. Then she gave me some really good advice and prayed over me. We go back downstairs to the fellowship hall where everyone else is, then go to small group. I just sit in small group and play the “skittle game.” After small group we go down and have snack and play games for “late night” I was not in the best of moods though, because you don’t always want to smile and have fun when God is dealing with you. I participated with my group and tried to fake a smile. Then we go to our host home and hang out, I pretend I’m fine and try to enjoy disciple now. It worked as far as everyone else was concerned, they didn’t know anything was going on but I wasn’t having fun.

Saturday was going okay for the most part, besides me having to quit recreation which is another story. After recreation we go back to the host home for rest and clean up. After everyone gets showered and ready, we go back to the church for our banquet and night activities, I was having a little bit more fun at this point. We ate then got the fellowship hall ready to have worship. The message Saturday night was really good; I got so much out of it.

He talked about two things that I really needed to hear, one was that we needed to stop just going through the motions of being a Christian but live out our faith. He also talked about how much God loves messed up people, which is something he said over and over all weekend, I just didn’t “get it” until Saturday night. After he finished talking, He gave us another opportunity to talk to someone if we needed to. I had already talked to someone the night before so I didn’t see the point in doing it again. Well God wasn’t satisfied with that; he had so much more in mind. I kept feeling this “push” to go talk to someone, and I finally listened after I told myself I wasn’t. I went out looking for my small group leader, someone had already grabbed her and I didn’t want to talk to anyone but her. I was headed back to the fellowship hall and was just not going to talk to anyone about it.

Just as I was, Kristen, who is one of the other college leaders I have known for a while and feel comfortable around is standing in the hall. I get her and we go to the sanctuary and talk. She explains a lot to me and really helped me figure out so much, I told her that I was tired of getting on a spiritual high when I go to things like disciple now and going through the motions of being a Christian like I had been doing, I was ready to honestly live out my faith. Then she prayed over me and we went back to worship. After we went back to worship, I talked to a few other people about it and they all gave me lots of really good advice.

Michelle was one of the people I talked to, I told her about what God had done in me and my conversation with Kristen. She was so supportive and helpful. She made me feel so comfortable around her, that I was able to completely open up to her and not have one doubt in my mind that she would run and tell anybody what I said. We were out in the hall for a while and missed a lot of the concert that Hello August was doing for us, but I don’t feel bad about it at all. I was dealing with a lot of things and needed to talk to someone else about it. During our conversation I talked to her about how much I loved kids and worked in the church nursery, which was fine. I love what I do, the problem was that I had not been living out my faith before. One of the questions that I asked her was, How can you expect to bring others to Christ if your life doesn’t show you living out your faith? We continued to talk, then prayed and went back to the concert.

After the concert ended we went back to our host home and hung out til we decided to go to bed. Then the next morning I called a friend of mine who was in Michelle’s small group and asked if I could talk to her. She came on the phone, and I asked her to walk down front with me during the invitation she agreed. That was one of the few things I don’t like doing asking the phone because it’s not as meaningful as it is in person but I didn’t know if I would be able to find her and ask her before the service.

When we get to church our group ends up splitting up and sitting wherever instead of as a group, so I got to sit with Michelle. Since she was walking up it was a good thing I got to sit with her. Sammy talked about how we need to live for the glory of God, not people which was a really powerful message. During the invitation Michelle and I walked up front and told the church that I had decided to rededicate my life to Christ, it was one of the best feelings ever. I got to see several people make public their profession of faith and a lot of re-dedications.

Since Disciple Now, I have had to work hard to keep my faith strong and not let this just be a “mountain top experience”. It has been hard but through the love and support my friends have given me and the power of prayer, I have fallen more and more in love with Christ. He is teaching me so much and the more I learn, the more I want to know…….Now that’s my story; what’s yours?

I LOVE MY JESUS!!!
